If you would like the joy of being part of something bigger than yourself as you work on becoming the artist you always knew you could be, you’ll find your creative home with us.
Accomplished artists are welcome, too. If you are an artist who is not currently inspired or carving space in your life for your creativity, you’ll find your experience and willingness to share it here provides a spark that flames into gorgeous prolificity and new processes.
Within The Conscious Creative Collective, you will find the joy of community that comes from sharing our processes and breakthroughs as we all work towards the common goal of becoming the best artists we can be. When you get stuck, you’ll find the safety to share and ask questions from your peers who have once been at the very same sticking point you’re currently experiencing. We are in it to win it. And we are in it together.
There is a creed among us that entails a disciplined approach to doing the work. We are responsive to our own needs and avid listeners to our own inner voice. We believe in honesty in all our dealings. We believe in true community and support each other’s successes. We know that if we feel a twinge of jealousy over another’s achievement, it is a yearning for more accomplishment ourselves. We view these aches as an opportunity to reassess, acknowledge and dive deeper into our own aspirations and creations. We are hungry and humble, all at once. Our focus is on diligent artistic advancement in all mediums. We also believe in the power of lighthearted laughter and utilize it at every opportunity.
Application season opens once a year on the first day of Spring and stays open for 4 weeks. If you would like to join us, please ponder and answer the following questions so that you will have them ready for open season. If accepted, you will receive a welcome letter with instructions on how to join our private online community. If you are not accepted, you’ll be notified within 4 weeks of your submission with an emailed letter thanking you for your interest in being a part of The Conscious Creative Collective and encouragement to continue to work within your mediums and submit your interest again next year. Here are our questions to ponder:
- Tell us a story pertaining to your creativity that has personal meaning for you. When did you first realize you wanted to be an artist?
- Our foundational practices are the minimum requirement to expand your repertoire, although there is much more to achieve within the full spectrum of work. You can expect to spend 15 to 20 minutes a day on Morning Pages and an hour a week on your Artist’s Date. Do you agree to consistently do the foundational practices of morning pages and weekly Artist’s Dates for 1 year to achieve your objectives?
- What mediums are you interested in expanding your abilities within?
- Create an achievement goal for your first year of working with us. Tell us about it.
- Although we hope you always stay a member of our community, we ask you to commit to 12 months of membership. During this 12 months, you will be expanding your own artistic expression with full intensity to the best of your ability. Is this something you want enough to commit this time and effort to? Remember, you are self governed so only you can steer your ship. We simply guide with our example and own velocity.
- Are you willing to honor artistic sovereignty by always treating all others as you would like to be treated? This means that although we influence each other, we also compliment and give credit where it is due. And we collaborate wherever possible when greatly influenced by the work of our peers.
